Guilders are people who choose to sign up to commit their time, energy and skills for the benefit of Preston Guild 2012, the local community of Preston and its surrounding area, and its visitors. Volunteering does not involve any financial reward (other than some reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses), and it will require hard work and commitment, but volunteers will gain a variety of valuable personal rewards from their unique Guild experience.

You can be an active part of this once in a generation festival, a doer not just a viewer, by joining the Guilder team and taking up this unique opportunity to:

• develop your skills, knowledge, experience and confidence
• meet new friends
• discover new interests
• play an active part in shaping Guild history and , not least
• have fun along the way!

Preston Guild 2012 will be a diverse experience, and there are a wide range of opportunities to participate through volunteering: from stewarding or ‘welcoming’ at events, getting involved in community projects, marketing Guild events and activities to providing administrative support in the Guild office.
