As well as having the coveted status of UK European City of Sport in 2012 in an Olympic Year, Preston's strong sporting heritage contributes to a substantial part of the Guild programme.

Completing the Guild series will take locals and visitors around Preston’s scenic countryside and urban parks but also take in the Grade 1 listed Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Flag market, civic quarter and covered market areas in the heart of the city centre.The series will commence on May 7th, a Bank Holiday Monday with the 5k Guild Series Road Race.

 
 

Runners completing the Guild Series will receive their coveted Series T Shirt and medal following the race, something to keep for the next Guild in 2032 or hand on to grandchildren! Please note that the series is about participation and as such there are no series winner’s prizes but an enhanced prize list in each race.
